Distributed Learning
Technology and distributed learning are a natural match but survey results didn’t show this relationship to be of particularly high interest. Only 7% said it was a

priority for ERAC to consider, while a handful said that options for using it effectively pose a challenge. (Again, this lower priority may reflect the respondents’ limited involvement with their districts’ distributed learning programs, which often operate semi-autonomously.) When asked what areas districts would suggest as recipients for increased technology funding, 43% said they would invest moderately in distributed learning. As distributed learning programs increase and progress to a more mainstream model, where students who attend schools take supplementary classes outside of the confines of a traditional classroom, technology will become significantly more important in the delivery of these programs.
