How do I get started?

The Encyclopedia of BC (EBC) is a good starting place for information relating to British Columbia. It is very user friendly with simple search options. The best place to start is to simply log in to the site.


What are the search options?

Material in the E of BC can be accessed through the Index, by Subject Lists, by using keywords and through linked cross-references in the articles themselves.





How do I save information?

Encyclopedia of BC entire articles may be saved to your desired location for future reference by using "Save page as" from the File menu in your Internet Browser or aspects of an article may be copied and pasted into a blank text document.


What are the copyright rules?

Encyclopedia of BC resources are available for use in classrooms and from home for all staff and students of all participating districts and schools.


What other support materials are there?

A teacher’s resource is included which provides suggested teaching strategies and curriculum links for using the Encyclopedia of BC
