You may have noticed something different. Our ERAC Update has taken on a new look, along with our new logo! You'll still find all the great content and important information, and now with categories to help you find what's relevant for you. Below is a list of the categories and a brief description of each. Take a look and read regularly to stay updated!
DEADLINES
No deadlines for September except for a program start date of September 14th (see more info under "New For You")
NEW FOR YOU
- Stay tuned for a "Connected Kids Grant Program" through FrontRow Canada, starting September 14th. As we receive more information from FrontRow, we'll be sure to pass it on to you.
- To support teachers and students, ERAC has created a vision for digital content management. Please click here to watch an 8 minute video of our vision and be sure to give us your feedback. These are exciting times!
- ERAC has also been busy working throughout the summer on re-negotiating some extensions. We are presently still working on them and will keep you posted as soon as we have a completed agreement. Check under this category next month for an update.

Report Shows More Reasons to Enjoy Membership
The spend/save report for the 2010/2011 school year is just being e-mailed out. Your district contact will soon be able to share where you've saved large amounts of money! Overall, NINE million dollars in savings was realized due to some great deals ERAC worked on getting you!

Online resources are such effective classroom tools that Gordon Powell, Library and Information Services coordinator, wonders if districts will continue to buy textbooks. "You don't need a textbook to teach a course," he said.

Digital Media Test Drive Puts the Pedal to the Metal
Teacher evaluators can get a jump start on the Digital Medial Test Drive extension by using the resources on their very first day back to school! The extension of the test drive to the end of November provides more time to use the digital resources in real classroom environments.
